1. General description of roller compactor
DH series roller compactor (Dry granulator) adopts dry extrusion technology to compress the powdery materials with water content less than 2% into pieces, and then turn the pieces materials into granules that meet the requirements through crushing, granulation and screening process. The machine is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, fertilizer, metal powder, petrochemical, fine chemical, pesticide, bioengineering, mining and coal industries.
Roller compactor mainly relies on external pressurization to force the materials to pass through the gap between two reverse rotating rollers and compress them into pieces. In the process of rolling, the actual density of materials can be increased by 1.5 ~ 3 times, so as to meet certain strength requirements.
2. Work principle of roller compactor
Powdery materials are added from the top of the equipment and enter two horizontal pressure rollers through degassing and spiral preloading. The press rollers rotate relative to each other, and the materials are forcibly sent between the two pressure rollers, which bite the materials into the roll gap for compression. After the material passes through the compression zone, the surface tension and gravity of the material make it come out naturally. Then materials enter the crusher and are crushed by the rotary knives, and the crushed materials enter the milling device. Then granules and some powder enter the screening machine for screening. The qualified products are sent to the finished product silo through the conveyor. The powder is sent back to the raw material bin through the conveyor for secondary rolling. The pressure of extrusion can be adjusted by the hydraulic station according to the needs of granulation operation.
By changing the grooving form of the roller surface, flake, strip and flat spherical products can be obtained.
3. Features of Roller compactor
1. The material is forced to be compressed and formed by mechanical pressure without adding any wetting agent, so the purity of the product.
2. Dry powder is directly granulated without subsequent drying process, which is more conducive to the connection of the existing production process and can be transformed.
3. The strength of granules is high and the increase of bulk specific gravity is more significant than other granulation methods. It is especially suitable for increasing the bulk specific gravity of products.
4. It can control environmental pollution, reduce powder waste and packaging cost, and improve product transportation capacity.
5. Compact structure, convenient maintenance, simple operation, short process flow, low energy consumption, high efficiency and low failure rate. It is suitable for a wide range of materials, and the press pressure can be adjusted freely according to different materials.
6. The conveyor and feeding device adopts frequency conversion speed regulation, with high degree of automation, which can realize that one person control multiple machines, low labor intensity and long-term continuous operation.
7. The main transmission parts are made of high-quality alloy materials, stainless steel, titanium, chromium and other surfaces alloy, which greatly improves the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and pressure resistance, so that the machine has a long service life.
